Tähän on siis tultu, omat ja varastetut on sijoitettu - ja viimeisen puolen vuoden aikana on sitten ollut makseltu "hallitusta riskinotosta"...
Tässä on isojen poikien pelaava kokoonpano:
PETER RIDSDALE
(Chairman)
Former managing director of Top Man, he became a Leeds director in 1987 and chairman ten years later. A lifelong fan who used to idolise Gary Sprake, he took over as chairman of the local education authority when it fell foul of Ofsted.
ALLAN LEIGHTON
(Deputy chairman)
Once dubbed world’s busiest businessman, he said he had nine jobs last year. His roles have included being the chief executive of Asda, chairman of Consignia and director of BSkyB and Scottish Power. Non-executive member.
NEIL HOLLOWAY
Another Leeds fan who joined the board as a non-executive member earlier this month as part of the shake-up promised at the AGM. The managing director of Microsoft’s UK business, he has a masters degree from Cambridge University.
DAVID SPENCER
The most popular board member with the supporters because of his hands-on approach as the club’s operations director. Formerly the catering manager at the club, he has been active in getting Leeds United Ladies up and running.
STEPHEN HARRISON
A former finance manager of the club who was given promotion to the role of chief operating officer last year. He has formerly worked for Dollond & Aitchison, the opticians chain, and also for the supermarket group, Asda.
----------------------------------------------------------
Times puntaroi rooleja ryhmässä - varsinkin Leightonin - ja kieltämättä teoriasta löytyy logiikkaa:
The sale of players has coincided with the hands-on involvement of Allan Leighton, the club’s deputy chairman and chairman of Consignia, who is understood to have ordered the books to be balanced immediately before football’s imploding transfer market could disintegrate further.
