Kausi 2012-2013

L.U.S.T. Update: Frustrated Players Back Our Vision
Friday, June 8, 2012 at 5:50PM
Leeds United Supporters' Trust have been speaking with sources close to the players at Leeds United, as frustration grows among fans over the lack of progress on transfers, the current takeover talks, and yesterday's embarrassing court case. They have told us that the players are as disillusioned and disheartened as the fans at the moment, feeling undervalued by the club and totally frustrated by the lack of ambition Leeds United are showing. Many players have read and fully agree with the aims of L.U.S.T.'s Vision Statement, and want us to get their views out on their behalf.
Our sources say that players fear if they speak their minds openly and publicly at the moment they could be left to rot in the reserves, or be sold to clubs they have no interest in playing for. They are anxious, however, that Leeds supporters should know how they are feeling.
We've been told that the players are passionate and committed about bringing success to Leeds United. They desperately want to be part of a Leeds United side that wins promotion to the Premier League. With the current situation at the club, though, they cannot see how that will be possible. They understand that without an increase in the playing budget at Leeds, the club will need to sell before it can buy, but the only players the club can sell are the ones who want to stay and fight for promotion with Leeds United. This has put them in a catch-22 situation, not knowing whether they will still be at Leeds next season, or what sort of team they will be playing in.
While they want to stay at Elland Road, the players feel completely undervalued by the club. We understand that some of the contract offers the club has been making have offered a miserly increase in weekly wages, offers which do not come close to what players could earn elsewhere. They feel that they are nothing more than commodities to Leeds United, and they have compared their disillusionment to that felt by the fans in recent seasons. Their view is that the club does not care about either the players' or the fans' opinions enough to share their ambition.
A number of players have grown so frustrated by the situation at Leeds United that they are on the verge of giving up, walking away and accepting offers to play elsewhere. Our sources stressed to us that these players do not want to leave Leeds.
The players want the fans to know loud and clear that they share our passion for Leeds, and that they have a burning ambition to get our club to the Premier League. Equally, they share in the frustration and pain the fans have been feeling. Players who want to play for Leeds United fear that they will be forced out of the club this summer, and have to go and play elsewhere for the good of their careers and personal futures. They are frustrated that the people in charge of the club do not share the ambition of the players, and the fans, to make Leeds United a great football club again.
One of the main aims of the Leeds United Supporters' Trust Vision Statement is to reunite the club and its fans. We want to see harmony between the fans, the players, and the management of Leeds United, so we can build a successful team together. We are pleased to learn that there are players at Leeds United who fully endorse that vision, and who are desperate to help us make it a reality.

BATES OUT!

#BATESOUT!

tässä siis meidän vahvistukset ensi kaudelle.. + se Pearce ellei vielä peruuta siirtoaan..??

Dominc Poleon and Ross Killock are the latest young players to take up the offer of a professional deal with the club.

Striker Poleon was the under-18s leading goalscorer last term with 12 to his name and he has signed a one-year deal.

Central defender Killock, who made 20 appearances in the under-18s last season and also played in a number of reserve matches, has also signed a one-year contract.

Dominic and Ross follow in the footsteps of Simon Lenighan, Charlie Clamp, and Sam Byram in signing professional contracts, while Nathan Turner, Lewis Turner have signed new one-year deals.

Central defender Monty Gimpel will also turn professional on July 1.

...e

Eiliseltä poimintoja Twitteristä..

#lufc to have a cash injection by Saturday at the latest, NW has been told of the situation and to continue the recruitment drive 4 2012/13

#lufc Bates will remain at the club but with reduced control and whatever happens will leave at end of 2012/13 for the sake of his health.

#lufc This deal has been a tough one to organise, not surprising really will the people involved.

Wolvesilta ekaksi kyytiä.. 18.08.... jos ketään kiinnostaa!
Sitten blackpool ja peterborough vieraissa...

Taas hommattiin pelaaja...

Norwich City defender Adam Drury has agreed a deal to join Leeds United from July 1.

The experienced left back will join on a two-year contract next month after agreeing a deal to become Neil Warnock's second signing of the summer.

I think he's a good defender,

jatkoi NW vielä.. we´ll see!

Kuka on lainannut rahaa ken beitsille???

Derby County midfielder Paul Green has agreed a deal to join Leeds United on July 1.

The 29-year-old has agreed a two-year contract and will formally join up with the club at the start of next month.

Warnock näyttää suosivan kokeneita pelaajia, joten luulisi esim. Ricardo Fullerin kiinnostavan. Johonkin chämppäriseuraan se kuitenkin menee.

Ehkäpä täältä vastaus?

Neil Warnock has intensified his push for more signings at Leeds United by reviving his interest in Portsmouth duo David Norris and Luke Varney.

Ja lähtöpuolella:

Huddersfield Town are mounting a bid to sign Ross McCormack, with Leeds United ready to sell their leading scorer.

Lee Peltier on jättänyt leicesterin Itävallan turneen kesken ja saapunut viimeistelemään siirtoaan.
Nyt nähdään kummalla on kovempi imu pelaajien suuntaan..
Jos menee vanhaan seuraansa mistä lähti vuosi sitten ennemmin kuin tulisi Elland Roadille, alan
uskomaan jo lehdissäkin väitettyä gossipia "feikki-sheikistä" eikä rahaa tipu pelaajiin.
Saas katsoa nyt.. pitäisi ratketa näinä päivinä..

Lee Peltier set for Leicester City departure
Leicester City right-back Lee Peltier is set to leave the club with Leeds United or former club Huddersfield Town his likely destination.

The 25-year-old's agent confirmed to BBC Radio Leeds that both clubs had submitted written bids of around £600,000 for the player.

Peltier joined the Foxes from the Terriers last summer on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

He made 82 league appearances in two seasons during his time with Town.

The former Liverpool man, who played 40 league games for Nigel Pearson's side last campaign, is currently with Leicester on their pre-season tour of Austria.

Pakki Richard Keogh valitsi sitten derbyn ennen meitä ja Aidan White neuvottelee pässien
kanssa myös. WTF??

Leeds United enjoyed a useful workout in their first pre-season game at Farsley Celtic.

Leeds won 5-2 as Leeds boss Neil Warnock fielded two different sides in each half.

Summer signings Paddy Kenny, Jason Pearce and Paul Green all started the game. Fellow summer signing Adam Drury was missing after picking up a slight niggle.

There were also places in the starting line-up for trialists Andy Gray and Martin Crainie.

There was no Luciano Becchio or Robert Snodgrass in the squad. Leeds boss Neil Warnock saying the pair were carrying knocks and would be travelling with the squad to Devon and Cornwall next week.

Former Leeds striker Andy Gray, who is back at the club on trial, opened the scoring for Leeds on 31 minutes.

Within minutes, Gray had his second goal of the evening, Ross McCormack setting him up to head home.

After holding Leeds for thirty minutes, the wheels were coming off for Celtic and Robbie Rogers scored his first goal for the club to make it 3-0 after 36 minutes when he headed home a Michael Brown cross.

Neil Warnock named a different eleven for the second half to the one that finished the first half. Warnock named nine youngsters whilst there were also appearances for Ramon Nunez and Billy Paynter who are on the transfer list.

Farsley got a goal back when youngster Sam Byram put through his own net on 59 minutes.

Leeds quickly restored their three-goal lead when Billy Paynter headed home following a cross from Ramon Nunez to make it 4-1 on 64 minutes.

Ryan Watson scored a second for Farsley with a great strike from 20 yards on 68 minutes.

Sanchez Payne made it 5-2 for Leeds with a superb strike from fully 30 yards on 90 minutes.

Leeds sides:
(First half) Kenny; Craine, Lees, Pearce, Pugh; Rogers, Green, Brown, White; McCormack, Gray.

(Second half)
Cairns, L. Turner, Byram, Gimpel, Killock, Taylor, Thompson, Nunez, Paynter, Lenighan, Payne

Ainakin voitolla lähti kausi käyntiin.

Leeds United are giving a trial to young French defender Sebastien Faure

The 21 year old played in Leeds 2-0 win at Alfreton Town on Saturday.

Faure is a free agent after being released by top French Ligue 1 side Lyon at the end of last season.

The young centre back made his debut for Lyon in the 2008/09 season against Metz in the French League cup after coming through the clubs academy system.

Faure struggled to break into the side managed by Remy Guard last season and he joined French Ligue 2 side Nantes at the beginning of 2012.

He was due to spend the remainder of the season with Nantes but Faure returned to Lyon after suffering pain in the toe he had broken in December.

The central defender has represented France at under 17, 18, 19 and 20 level.

Faure played in the first five games for the French side as they reached the semi-final of the under 20 World Cup finals in 2011 before missing out in the defeat to Portugal.
